Paducah – Teenage Girl Seriously Injured After Being Pinned Under A UTV

A teenager was severely injured after the UTV she was riding rolled over on top of her.

The incident happened on Wednesday evening near North 9th Street and Boyd Street. 15-year-old Triston Johnson was riding with four other teens being driven by 17-year-old Antonio J. Hennrikus when it overturned and pinned Johnson underneath it. Witnesses flipped it back up before the police arrived.

Johnson was carried to Baptist Health Paducah to get treatment and was later transferred via helicopter to a hospital in Nashville.

A woman was sent to the hospital after crashing her vehicle into a tree.

The incident happened Wednesday morning on I-24. 43-year-old Linda Ison was driving westbound when her vehicle went off the road and hit a tree.

Ison was carried to the Lourdes Hospital to get treatment for her injuries.

Paducah – Woman Dead, Two Injured After Crash

A woman died and two drivers were injured after crash.

The accident happened on Monday in Irvin Cobb Drive. 26-year-old Alexandar Scott tried to swerve his truck away to avoid a car. Unfortunately, he hit the car of 79-year-old Clarence Roddy instead.

Both drivers were sent to Baptist Health Paducah along with Roddy’s wife, 76-year-old Florence Roddy. However, she was pronounced dead shortly after.

A driver was injured after two vehicles crashed into each other.

The accident happened on July 13, at the intersection of Cave Thomas Drive and Lone Oak Road.

It occurred when 75-year-old Judith Collier crashed into the car of 30-year-old Lauren Bomar.

Bomar had to be taken to a hospital. On the other hand, Collier and Bomar’s two children who were in the car were not hurt.

Paducah – Two-Car Collision Killed One Passenger

Two cars struck each other on John Puryear Drive near Hodges Convenience Store, injuring a passenger.

At 12:21 p.m., 76-year-old Eugene Hawkins was driving when he hit the car of 36-year-old Barbara Godfrey.

Godfrey’s passenger, 41-year-old Melissa Swain of Paducah, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

Paducah – SUV And Motorcycle Crash Left Two Injured

Two people were injured after an SUV and a motorcycle crashed into each other shortly after Wednesday noon.

63-year-old Nelda Reed was about to turn left in front of a restaurant parking lot when she failed to see an oncoming motorcycle. Her SUV then hit 36-year-old Timmy McFarland’s motorcycle.

Both of them were sent to the hospital to get treatment.

Paducah – Crash Involving Police Cruiser Injured One

A cruiser crashed and injured one driver on Lone Oak Road.

Yesterday, 63-year-old Deputy Jim Wilson was driving his cruiser and escorting an ambulance. When he attempted to change lanes, his cruiser collided with 56-year-old Steven Obermark’s SUV. Consequently, this spun the cruiser, causing it to hit a curb and go off the road. Then, the deputy tried to maneuver back into the road, when it hit 25-year-old Tyler Edwards’ pickup truck.

Obermark and Wilson were unharmed, but Edwards was taken to Mercy Health Lourdes to get treatment.

The ambulance being escorted because it was carrying a first responder who lost consciousness at the scene of another accident on Lovelaceville Road. Fortunately, it was able to safely arrive at the hospital.

Paducah – Child Injured After Car Crashed Into Concrete Barrier

A solo vehicle accident on the I-24 Ohio River Bridge injured a two-year-old girl yesterday.

29-year-old Samantha Trevathan was driving her 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer with her 2-year-old daughter Ellenora. Meanwhile, crews were on the road to remove a piece of steel. Trevathan tried to avoid hitting the debris, but she hydroplaned and hit a concrete divider and the concrete bridge railing.

The incident injured the child. In response, she was taken to a local hospital.

Paducah – Driver And Passenger Injured After Rollover Crash

Two people were injured after a single-vehicle rollover crash of Interstate 24.

Saturday morning, 19-year-old Dalton McNew was driving with 20-year-old Sidney Nichols. He fell asleep while driving, causing the vehicle to leave the road. When he woke up, he tried to regain control of his vehicle as it crossed both lanes of traffic. Then, the vehicle skidded and flipped, striking the guardrail, and stopping in an upright position.

When deputies arrived at the scene, the two were found outside the vehicle, walking around.

Both of them reported possible injuries and were sent to the hospital.
