McCracken County – Driver Died After Crashing His Vehicle

A driver crashed into a tree and died on Clinton Road.

48-year-old Jeffrey Caudle was driving his Chevrolet Silverado when it went off-road and crashed into a tree. It then burst into flames.

Caudle was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

McCracken County – Two Injured In Two-Vehicle Crash

On May 1, two people were injured after a crash involving two vehicles in McCracken County.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 60 and Mayfield-Metropolis Road. 22-year-old Emily Olmeda was driving eastbound on Highway 60 when 64-year-old Deborah McCann’s vehicle got in her way.

Both of them were taken to a hospital to get medical treatment.

McCracken County – Man Injured By Crash Involving Two Vehicles

On Tuesday, a man was injured by a two-vehicle crash on Clinton Road, McCracken County.

23-year-old Josiah Mouser was traveling northbound on Clinton Road when he skidded into the southbound lane, striking 55-year-old Micheal Holts vehicle.

Holt was hospitalized to have his non-fatal injuries treated.

McCracken County – One Injured After Rollover Crash

On April 19, a person was injured after a rollover crash.

The crash happened on Mayfield Metropolis Road where 22-year-old David Shelton was driving southbound. Suddenly, his vehicle began to skid on wet pavement, left the right side of the road, and rolled over into a large ditch.

Shelton’s 24-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries and was sent to an area hospital.

Investigation and clean-up closed off Mayfield Metropolis Road for an hour.

McCracken County – Passenger Injured In Rollover Crash

Friday afternoon, a rollover crash in McCracken county sent a passenger to the hospital.

22-year-old David Shelton was driving southbound with 24-year-old Jordan Stevens on Mayfield-Metropolis Road. Suddenly, the vehicle skidded on wet pavement and flipped over in a ditch. Fortunately, both of them were able to exit their vehicle.

Shelton, the driver, was not injured, but his passenger Steven was. Steven was carried to Baptist Health Paducah to get his injuries treated.

The crash resulted in Mayfield-Metropolis Road being closed off on one lane for an hour.

McCracken County – Driver Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Crash

Around 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, a crash involving two cars occurred, sending a driver to the hospital.

The incident happened at the intersection of U.S. 62/ Blandville Rd. and Mayfield Metropolis Road. A 16-year-old driver said that she stopped for a stop sign at the Blandville Rd. intersection. Then she got in the way of another car.

The other car’s driver, 25-year-old Ashley Daugherty, was injured in the crash. An ambulance carried her to the hospital to treat her minor injuries.

The crash moderately damaged the two cars.

McCracken County – Moped Driver Injured In Wrong-Way Crash

On the 9th of April, a man was injured due to a crash.

33-year-old Sean Courneen was driving a moped while traveling on Cairo Road when she entered a curve. Unfortunately, he lost control of the vehicle and entered the oncoming lane. To avoid collision, he swerved, causing him to lay the moped down the roadway.

Courneen was carried to a medical center for his non-fatal injuries.

However, he was cited into court for driving with a suspended or revoked operator’s license.

McCracken County – Owner And Founder of Falconite Development Dead After Crash

Owner and Founder of Falconite Development, Micheal Falconite, died after crashing his car Friday night.

He was driving on Lovelaceville Florence Station West Road when he crossed into the traffic eastbound lanes and hit a driveway, causing his 2019 Ram 1500 to roll over.

He was taken to the nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He founded Falconite Development in Paducah, which currently owns, manages, and operates many medical offices, retail spaces, industrial buildings, office spaces, and restaurants.

McCracken County—Gilbertsville Man Injured on North Friendship Road

A vehicle versus tree accident injured at least one person on North Friendship Road, late Monday night.

At around 10:35 p.m., local officers from McCracken County Police Department responded to a car accident at the 1955 block of North Friendship Road. According to initial reports, a vehicle was about to enter a curve when a deer passed in front of it. The vehicle swerved to avoid the deer only to end up in a ditch, crashing into two trees in the process.

The driver of the vehicle, identified only as 23-year-old Scott Horn of Gilbertsville, sustained minor injuries from the impact. He was rushed to a local hospital for further care.

No other injuries were reported at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
