Two people were arrested after a child was found sitting beside a purse containing meth in their car.
The traffic stop happened on North Main Street, August 12.
Police arrested 28-year-old Hank Vaughn and 27-year-old Megan Rethmeyer after they found large amounts of methamphetamine in their car. In fact, a purse filled with the drug was found beside a child sitting inside.
Vaughn was arrested for and charged with first-degree and third-degree possession of a controlled substance. Also, Rethmeyer was arrested with the same charges, including endangering the welfare of a minor.
They were both detained in Laurel County Detention Center.
