Calvert City – Elderly Driver Crashed Into Semi, Teen Rushed To Rescue

On I-24, an elderly woman crashed her car into a semi. In response, a teenager rushed in to administer first aid.

The elderly woman was driving the wrong way when she crashed into a semi. Her car ended up in the grass, while the semi hit a fence.

When 17-year-old Conor Washburn heard the commotion, he went to the scene and administered first aid on the elderly driver. She was then sent to a hospital in Evansville.

Radcliff – Man Shot Dead In Apartment ID’d

The man found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in Pin Oak Court has been identified.

He was found out to be 25-year-old Lashard Harrison. People in the area told police that he lived in the apartments and was a father.

Louisville – Man Killed By Anonymous Shooter

A man was shot dead in the Pleasure Ridge Park area of Louisville, early Saturday.

About 3:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police officers arrived at the scene to find 49-year-old James Roth Sr. suffering from a gunshot wound.

Unfortunately, Roth died at the University of Louisville Hospital.

No suspects have been apprehended yet, but police are searching.

Independence – Woman Killed By Wrong-Way Crash

Around 2:15 in the afternoon, a 20-year-old woman was killed by a crash into an oncoming vehicle.

Natalie Schmidt was driving her 2003 Oldsmobile Alero northbound on Taylor Mill Road. That was when she lost control of her car, crossed the center line, and collided into an oncoming 1995 Chevrolet Cheyenne.

She was treated at the scene then airlifted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center to receive further medical treatment. Meanwhile, the other driver was carried via ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital for her injuries.

Further investigation is in progress.

Cold Spring – Jailer Killed In Wrong-Way Van Crash

April 15, a deputy jailer in Campbell County died in a crash on AA Highway, according to a post on the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page..

22-year-old Lindsay Kent Mitchell was driving northbound on AA Highway when a cargo van driving in the opposite direction collided into her vehicle.

The two passengers in her vehicle were sent to University of Cincinnati Medical Center to treat their serious injuries. Unfortunately, Mitchell did not survive the incident.

Greenup County – More Details Of Wrong-Way Crash Released

Monday night, more details have been released about a wrong-way crash that killed two men on U.S. 23.

71-year-old Charles Howard was pulling onto U.S. 23, into the southbound lanes. However, he went into the northbound lanes instead and into the way of another car driven by 26-year-old Reese A. Justice.

Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Bowling Green – Three Students Injured After School Bus Crash

Three students suffered injuries after their school bus got involved in a three-vehicle crash.

The incident occurred in the intersection of Cumberland Trace Road and Westwood Avenue. A passenger vehicle failed to see oncoming traffic and entered the traffic flow on Cumberland Trace Road. This lead to a pickup truck with a trailer slamming with the passenger vehicle. It then caused the trailer to smash into the side of the school bus.

Three children on the bus got minor injuries.

The crash is being investigated further.

Louisville – Man Shot Dead Outside Apartment

Around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, a man was shot to death in front of an apartment in Louisville.

Louisville Police officials were called to an apartment complex on Saddlebrook Lane near Rockford Lane and Cane Run Road. 29-year-old Robert Arnold was pronounced dead at the scene outside the apartment. However, Arnold’s address was not listed as the apartment complex. In fact, the neighbors said that the shooting was not a surprise to them.

Louisville – Unknown Suspect Shot Man To Death

Around 6:45 a.m. on April 12, the man shot to death in Louisville has been identified.

31-year-old Kevin J. Burse was identified as the person who was shot to death in the Park Hill neighborhood. Specifically he was found on S. 20th Street near the intersection of Dixie Highway and Wilson Avenue.

Police surrounded the scene with crime tape and asked the neighbors regarding the incident.

Lexington – Two Injured, One DUI In Campus Crash

2:30 a.m. Sunday, two people was injured and another was charged with DUI after a pedestrian crash in Transylvania University campus.

A car was driving the wrong way down Mill Street, then across Third Street. It continued to hit a light pole and then smashed into the old Morrison Administration Building.

A man and a woman was taken to a hospital for medical attention. Meanwhile, the driver was charged with DUI.
