Two men face several charges after a car accident.

Authorities were notified of the incident around 1 pm in Centertown.

The incident involved two UTVs crashing into each other, killing 39-year-old Ashley Carver.

25-year-old Zachary T. Barker and 51-year-old James H. Rone were arrested and charged with murder, first degree assault, first degree wanton endangerment, and DUI – aggravated circumstances.

Louisville – Man Dead After Golf Cart Crash ID’d

The man who died after a car crashed into his golf cart has been identified.

He was identified as 45-year-old Christopher Schulz. He was driving his golf cart with another man around 4 pm Sunday, on Pee Wee Reese road, when 30-year-old Lazaro Illas crashed into his car.

Schulz died in the crash, but his passenger sent to University Hospital and was expected to survive.

Illas was charged with murder, assault, wanton endangerment, driving without a license and DUI.

Two people were hospitalized following a DUI crash.

The incident happened in Old Frankfort Pike, Monday morning.

Jacinto Varquez was driving when he collided into an SUV. The impact pushed other vehicles into a traffic box, causing the stoplights to go dark.

His passenger and someone in the SUV were taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, Vasquez was charged with DUI.

Johnson County – Woman Injured, Arrested After Crash Into Parked Car

A woman was arrested after crashing her car into another parked one.

The incident happened on KY-172, Friday.

41-year-old Randi Ritz was driving when her car collided into a parked car, causing the second vehicle to hit a utility pole, snapping it in half.

Police then responded to the crash and administered sobriety tests on Ritz. She failed every one of the tests, and even told police that she took suboxone before driving.

Ritz was arrested and sent to the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. She refused a blood test there before being moved to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Boyd County – Two-Car Crash Killed One, Injured Two

One person died and two others were injured after two-car crash.

The incident happened on 11 pm Wednesday, in KY-5.

41-year-old Jason G. Hall was driving when he failed to complete a left turn, hitting a guardrail. Then, he went into a ditch and back into the road. He continued driving until crashing into a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Gayla Scott.

Hall was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Scott and a teen passenger were carried to Cabell Huntington Hospital to be treated for injuries.

Alcohol is believed to have contributed to the crash.

Corey Sherfey was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle when 44-year-old James Moore and his passenger, Jeremy Anderson, got in Sherfey’s way.

Sherfey was flown to TJ Samson Hospital and Anderson was flown from TJ Samson to Vanderbile in Nashville.

Moore was arrested on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs 1st offense, and Assault 1st degree.

Pike County – Man Sent To Hospital, Charged After Solo DUI Crash

A man was injured and arrested after crashing his vehicle while intoxicated.

The accident happened on US 119, on the morning of July 26.

31-year-old Micheal J. Ortiz was driving with his passenger, Annette Clements, when he lost control of his Jeep Compass and crashed it into a rock cliff near Bent Mountain.

Ortiz told police that he fell asleep which caused him to crash his vehicle. Also, he was given sobriety tests and failed them.

He was taken to the hospital to get treatment before he was arrested. Meanwhile, Clements was carried to a local hospital and then was transferred to a Lexington hospital at her request.

McCracken County – Man Killed After Solo Car Crash

A man was killed after crashing his car.

The crash happened after 11:30 pm, at the intersection of Kentucky Dam Road and Benton Road.

47-year-old Michael Winstead was driving when his car struck a guardrail. The car then left the road and hit an embankment.

He was not wearing a seat belt. Furthermore, police are considering his speed and alcohol use as factors to the crash.

Winstead was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man was killed and another was injured after a car crashed into a concrete wall.

The crash happened Monday morning on I-65. 56-year-old Anthony Todd Davenport was driving his 2018 Chevrolet Impala when he lost control of the car. Then, the car crashed into a concrete wall and rolled over before stopping.

Davenport was pronounced dead on the scene. His passenger, 50-year-old Deshevia Phillips, was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital to get her injuries treated.

Burlington – Man Arrested After DUI Crash Killed One, Injured Two

A man who was believed to have been driving under the influence during a deadly crash. The incident happened at Bluestem Drive at around 3 pm.

22-year-old Anthony W. Yeager was arrested after he crashed his car into a tree while under the influence. Specifically, Yeager was charged second-degree manslaughter, DUI, two assault charges, criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating on a suspended or revoked license. He is now detained at Boone County Detention Center.

One of his passengers was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, two were sent to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital due to their injuries.
