Louisville – Woman Charged With DUI After Crashing Into Police Cruisers

A woman was charged with DUI after crashing into police cars.

The incident happened around 10:40 pm, October 20 on 43rd Street.

25-year-old Katelin Moody was drunk and was swerving her car in multiple directions. Then, it hit a police cruiser. An officer had to jump onto his cruiser to avoid being struck, but he was knocked off from the impact of the collision. He suffered injuries to his head, neck, and back. Afterwards, Moody’s car hit a second and third vehicle.

After, police spoke with her, and they smelled alcohol on her. They gave her a breath test and her blood-alcohol level was at .139.

Moody was taken to the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, where she was charged with DUI, assault of a police officer, and criminal mischief.

Louisville – Sheriff Indicted With Additional Charges Following Injury Crash

Breckinridge County Sheriff Todd Pate was indicted with additional charges following a crash that injured four people.

Pate is now charged with assault, operating under the influence (second offense), four counts of wanton endangerment, two counts of criminal mischief and leaving the scene of the accident. The assault and criminal mischief charges against him are new.

He crashed into two vehicles on March 8, in KY 259, while intoxicated. The collision injured four people.

Paducah – Man Injured, Treated For Opioid Overdose After Crash

A man was injured after crashing his car and was treated for opioid overdose.

The incident occurred around 9:40 am Thursday on Alben Barkley Drive.

A Jeep driven by 22-year-old Blake A. Weiland was on the median lane when it careened into the far outside lane and side-swiped a dump truck.

Passersby performed CPR on the Jeep driver. When Officer Steve Thompson arrived at the scene, he noticed Weiland was exhibiting signs of a drug overdose, so he gave him two doses of the opioid-overdose antidote Naloxone. Consequently, Weiland regained consciousness and was sent to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.

Weiland told Officer Thompson that he took Fentanyl while he was at a fast food restaurant near Paducah Tilghman High School. Also, he said driving at the restaurant was the last thing he recalled doing.

He was cited at the hospital and was charged with DUI.

Lexington – Woman Charged With Three Counts Of Murder After DUI Crash

A woman who was accused of DUI is now facing charges of murder after a car accident.

42-year-old Tammy Rodriguez was charged with three counts of murder, first-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment.

Lexington police said she started driving the wrong way on I-75 when her pickup truck struck two other vehicles. The crash lead to the deaths of 35-year-old Debbie Blevins, 26-year-old Taylor Davis Blevins, and 20-year-old Caitlyn Danielle Bailey.

She remains detained at the Fayette County Detention Center, where she is being held on a $1.565 million bond.

24-year-old Pierre Malisthanga was drunk when he swerved into oncoming traffic and hit two motorcyclists on Manslick Road on Sunday.

Unfortunately, one of the victims, William “Trae” Bevill, was taken off life support on Monday afternoon.

Louisville – Man Arrested After Crash Killed One

A man was arrested after a motorcycle crash.

The incident happened at the intersection of Manslick Road and Rosewood Way around 4 am Sunday.

24-year-old Pierre Malisthanga was driving his motorcycle when he hit two other motorcyclists head-on.

One of them was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was sent to University Hospital to get treatment.

Malisthanga smelled heavily of alcohol, but he refused to comply with field sobriety tests. Nevertheless, he was charged with murder, DUI, and assault.

Lawrenceburg – Driver Involved In Crash Was High On Acid

A driver who was involved in a deadly crash was on acid.

Police said David Henderson’s vehicle was swerving on the road, and they tried to pull him over. Instead, he sped off, reaching speeds of 120 mph.

His female passenger further said that he didn’t pull over as he had a small amount of marijuana in his car.

Henderson crashed into Jill Hurst’s car Friday night, killing her.

Graves County – Three Injured After Car Accident

Three people were injured following a car accident.

The crash happened on I-69 around 6:10 pm.

35-year-old William Boykin, of Mayfield, was driving a small SUV and pulling a car dolly trailer. The trailer started to fishtail and hit a semi, rolling the vehicle over.

Boykin and two passengers were injured. He and another passenger were sent to Jackson Purchase Medical Center. Meanwhile, the other was sent to Baptist Health Paducah.

After an investigation, Boykin was arrested and sent to Graves County Jail for two counts of 1st degree wanton endangerment and 1st degree DUI with an aggravating circumstance.

Lawrenceburg – Female Passenger Sent To Hospital After Police Chase Led To Car Crash

A female passenger was sent to the hospital after a police chase that ended in a car accident.

The incident happened around 11 pm Friday night.

David Henderson was driving under the influence and evading police with a female passenger. He drove from Mercer County, went on to US 127 until he crashed his vehicle into another car at US 62.

The crash injured his passenger. She was sent to the hospital to get treatment.

Meanwhile, Henderson was charged with DUI, evading police, and other charges.

He was detained in the Boyle County Detention Center.

25-year-old Travis Vires was driving his vehicle intoxicated when he hit a motorcycle.

This lead to the motorcyclist being injured with such severity that he motorcyclist had to be airlifted to the hospital.

Vires was arrested for DUI and was sent to Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
