Louisville – Boy Hospitalized After Bus Struck Him

A 6-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a school bus.

The incident happened at Girard Drive and Girard Court after 4 pm Thursday.

The boy got off before his scheduled stop. As he was crossing the stop, the bus hit him.

He suffered serious head injuries and was sent to Norton Children’s Hospital.

He is a student at Wilder Elementary School.

LaRue County – Girl Killed In Freak Bike Accident On Birthday

A young girl was killed after crashing her bike near her home in Hodgenville.

The incident happened on Tuesday, on her 9th birthday.

Investigators said her bike’s handlebar lever impaled her neck, severing one of her arteries.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hopkinsville – Woman Arrested After Child Found Alone In Parking Lot

Police arrested a woman after the found her child alone in a parking lot.

The 3-year-old child was found at the Sonic Drive-In parking lot on West Seventh Street. Police took the kid back to his home on Buckley Drive. When they arrived, 39-year-old Jeshia D. Wills answered the door while in a bath towel and still wet. She told officers that she was just looking for the child when they arrived. Furthermore, she alleged that she told the child that she could play in the front yard while she was bathing. On the other hand, a witness told officers that they saw the child attempting to cross the street on West Seventh Street.

Police arrested and charged Wills with first-degree criminal abuse.

Nelson County – Criminal Charges Coming For Man After Car Crash

A man will face criminal charges after he caused serious injuries to a woman and three children after grabbing the steering wheel of a moving vehicle.

The incident happened on Sunday on Fairfield Hill Road.

Police responded around 7:50 pm to the scene of the crash. They learned that 35-year-old Frank Sanger was riding the 2015 Kia Optima when he grabbed the steering wheel during a domestic argument with the driver, 35-year-old Katie Cook.

Sanger and one of the juveniles were sent to University of Louisville hospital. Meanwhile, Cook and the other two juveniles were airlifted to another hospital with “serious injuries”.

Lt. Kaelen Matthews of the Nelson County Sheriff’s Department said “serious criminal charges are pending” against Sanger.
