A cruiser crashed and injured one driver on Lone Oak Road.
Yesterday, 63-year-old Deputy Jim Wilson was driving his cruiser and escorting an ambulance. When he attempted to change lanes, his cruiser collided with 56-year-old Steven Obermark’s SUV. Consequently, this spun the cruiser, causing it to hit a curb and go off the road. Then, the deputy tried to maneuver back into the road, when it hit 25-year-old Tyler Edwards’ pickup truck.
Obermark and Wilson were unharmed, but Edwards was taken to Mercy Health Lourdes to get treatment.
The ambulance being escorted because it was carrying a first responder who lost consciousness at the scene of another accident on Lovelaceville Road. Fortunately, it was able to safely arrive at the hospital.
