Graves County – Man With Suspended License Arrested After Crashing His Car

A man was arrested after a crash on I-69 near KY 80 West.

On Saturday, 24-year-old Shane Price was found there by police standing near his vehicle. He then recounted how an unknown driver swerved into his lane and he tried to avoid crashing into it. However, he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a concrete barrier, causing major damage to his vehicle.

Nevertheless, police discovered that Price was driving with his suspended license and an expired car insurance. After being treated at the scene for minor injuries, he was detained in Graves County Jail on charges of operating on a suspended operator’s license and failure of non-owner to maintain insurance.

Mayfield – Child Injured After Running Into Car Fender

A four-year-old child was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Mayfield on Sunday.

The child was running in North 5th Street when Keyja Hammonds slammed into the fender area of the vehicle. Luckily, Hammonds was able to stop the car.

Unfortunately, the child’s leg was injured and was carried to Jackson Purchase Medical Center. Then, the child was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to get treated further.

A teenage girl was killed and another was gravely injured by a train near Taylorsville and South Pope Lick Road.

The accident was reported around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Neither of the two victims have been identified.

Springfield – Couple On Motorcycle Killed After Jeep Crash

A couple on a motorcycle crashed into a Jeep on US Route 150, before seven in the morning.

They tried to pass several cars in a no passing zone, then crashed into a Jeep that was trying to turn left.

The couple on the motorcycle, 39-year-old John Bailey and 41-year-old Amanda Bailey, were dead on the scene.

Meanwhile, the Jeep driver and his two passengers were sent to a hospital with minor injuries.

Clark County – Person Dead After Car Accident

A person died after a crash on US-60 near East Kentucky Power, Sunday night.

The person was sent to UK Hospital but he later died. In addition, four others were taken to there for minor injuries.

Burkesville – Two People Killed IN DUI Crash, Driver Arrested

A driver crashed head-on into a vehicle, killing two people on KY-90. He was then arrested due to driving under the influence.

28-year-old Christian Parrish was under the influence when he crashed his 2012 Nissan into 67-year-old Barbara Arms’ 2000 Ford. Arms and her passenger, 74-year-old Bobby Arms, were dead on the scene.

Parrish sustained minor injuries and was taken to Cumberland County Hospital. Also, he was charged with first-degree driving under the influence and failure to wear a seat belt.

He is being detained at the Adair County Regional Jail.

Florence – Kentucky Jockey Killed After Crashing Into Bus

A Kentucky jockey died in a crash yesterday midnight.

28-year-old Euclyn Prentice Jr. was driving at the corner of Houston Road and Hansel Avenue. He then crashed into a bus. He had to be extricated from his vehicle and sent to St. Elizabeth Hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead there.

Nobody was injured in the bus.

The incident is being investigated further.

McCracken County – Solo Car Crash Injured Driver

A man crashed his vehicle into a tree then died on Benton Road.

33-year-old Johnathan Sharpe was driving on that road when he crossed the oncoming lane and hit a tree.

Sharpe was taken to Baptist Health Paducah to get his minor injuries treated.

Louisville – Man Shot To Death Outside Apartment

A man was shot fatally on Glimmer Way and died in the hospital.

Police found a man in his 20’s suffering from a gunshot wound outside an apartment complex.

He was then taken to University Hospital. Unfortunately, he later died inside.
