Lexington – Two-Vehicle Crash Injured Person

Two vehicles crashed in Lexington around 2:00 p.m. Sunday morning, causing one person to be carried off to the hospital.

Officers said the crash happened around 2:00 a.m. at the crossroads of Creative Drive and New Circle Road. A Chevrolet Malibu was turning away from New Circle Road when it collided with a Chevy Tahoe going the opposite direction.

The Malibu ended up losing a wheel while the Tahoe ended up on its side.

One person was sent to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Charges are not expected to be filed.

Ohio County – Driver, Passenger Dead After Crash

In Ohio County, a car crashed into a tree around 6:30 p.m.

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car accident on Hardinsburg Road, 3000 block, in Fordsville.

The officials said it seems the car went off the road and into a tree.

The driver and sole passenger, Micheal Hall of Hartford, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Warren County – Child Injured, Man Dead After Crash

On Saturday afternoon, a life-threatening crash occured on KY HWY 185.

Bowling Green’s 33-year-old Robyn Jones was driving a 2001 Saturn SUV in the 8800 block of HWY 185. She then steered into the opposite lance and collided into a pickup truck.

The truck driver was identified as Darrin Stiles who had a 12-year-old child passenger. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment. However, Robyn Jones was pronounced dead after the crash.

Investigations are currently ongoing.

Mayfield – Person Hospitalized After Vehicle Crash

A semi truck and trailer crashed into a car Friday afternoon.

51-year-old, Paducah man, Bobby Dowell was driving his semi truck and trailer was driving north on US 45 South. Meanwhile, 17-year-old, Mayfield teen, Isaiah King was driving westbound on Ingersoll Rand Road. King pulled into Dowell’s way in the road and collided in the southbound lanes of US 45 South, before 1:00 pm. Then, Dowell’s semi jack-knifed and came to rest partially in the roadway and partly on a concrete median. This caused the semi’s fuel tank to rupture, spilling diesel on the road.

King was carried to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for medical attention for his injuries. On the other hand, Dowell was not injured.

US 45 South traffic was restricted for around an hour and a half until the scene was cleared.

McCracken County – Owner And Founder of Falconite Development Dead After Crash

Owner and Founder of Falconite Development, Micheal Falconite, died after crashing his car Friday night.

He was driving on Lovelaceville Florence Station West Road when he crossed into the traffic eastbound lanes and hit a driveway, causing his 2019 Ram 1500 to roll over.

He was taken to the nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He founded Falconite Development in Paducah, which currently owns, manages, and operates many medical offices, retail spaces, industrial buildings, office spaces, and restaurants.

Breckenridge County – 7-year-old Girl Killed In DUI Crash

On Thursday evening, A man from Kentucky was charged with DUI and murder after a car crash that killed a 7-year-old girl.

Breckenridge County Troopers were called before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to a life-threatening accident on KY 259, two miles south of Harned.

35-year-old Joey Carter was driving south on KY 259 in a Ford Explorer when he made a turn and collided with 29-year-old Jonathan Masterson’s Ford Fusion northbound. Hardinsburg man Carter’s vehicle rolled over before stopping upside down. On the other hand, Hudson man Masterson’s vehicle exited the road’s right side before coming to a full stop. He was driving with 30-year-old Ashlynn Masterson in the front and a 7-year-old girl in the rear.

Jonathan and Ashlynn Masterson were sent to University of Louisville Hospital with fatal injuries, according to Trooper Scotty Sharp.

The 7-year-old girl died because of sustained injuries from the accident. Her relationship to the other occupants of Masterson’s vehicle was not released.

Carter was sent to Breckenridge Memorial Hospital with non-fatal injuries. He was later charged with DUI 2nd offense, two counts of second-degree assault, and murder. He is now detained in the Breckenridge County Detention Center.

Lexington – Family Of Five Dead In Car Crash

A vehicle carrying five family members crashed into a suspected drunk driver on Interstate 75, killing all six.

The drunk driver was driving his truck southbound in the northbound lanes when it hit a family’s SUV, causing it to catch fire. All five family members and the drunk driver died.

The family from Northville, Michigan was returning from a Florida vacation, said the Fayette County Coroner’s office.

The family members were identified as Issam Abbas, 42; Rima Abbas, 38 and their children, a boy Ali Abbas, 14 and girls Isabella Abbas, 13, and Giselle Abbas, 7.

Warren County – Smiths Grove Victims Identified

The two people who died in an accident in Smiths Grove were identified by the Warren County Police. At 7606 Glasgow Road, 36-year-old Joshua Thomas of Glasgow was driving westbound on Glasgow Road when he crossed the center line and hit a truck. The truck was driven by 42-year-old Christopher Gentry of Smiths Grove who was travelling eastbound causing them to collide head-on.

Gentry and Thomas were pronounced dead at the scene.

Gentry’s passenger, Amy Love was taken to Vanderbilt, but her condition is still unknown.

Further investigations are ongoing as no further information is available.

Lexington – Two Teens Killed, One Injured In Crash

Two teenagers were killed in a car crash that severely injured another teenager on Sunday and were identified.

On 8:30 a.m. Sunday, a passerby noticed a ruined car in front of Southside Technical Center along Harrodsburg Road. A Sayre School email identified the victims 17-year-old Neo and 15-year-old Roan Sanders who died at the scene.

The other teen, 18-year-old driver Bobby Puckett was trapped in the car for hours.

Hardinsburg – County Sheriff Crashed Into Car, Injured Driver

Breckinridge County Sheriff Todd Pate crashed his truck into a car near the 9400 block of KY 259 in Breckinridge County.

Kentucky State Police allegedly received a call at 6:35 p.m. CST, March 8 regarding a crash between two vehicles. Their preliminary investigations revealed that one the crashed drivers was the Breckinridge County Sheriff. He crashed his 2018 Chevrolet pickup truck into Jill Lanning’s 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. After hitting the car, the sheriff’s personal vehicle collided into a utility pole, before stopping in a barbed wire fence.

Lanning was carried to Breckinridge County Memorial Hospital for non-lethal injuries and was later released.

The sheriff was arrested on suspected DUI and taken to the Hardin County Detention Center.
